Divine Services

Services lean toward traditional worship that is characteristic of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. There is a variety of liturgies (formats) that are used. Most liturgies are drawn from the Lutheran Service Book (LSB), a hymnal of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Services are normally an hour and fifteen minutes in length. Holy Communion is offered during regular weekend Divine Services.

Children

Children are an important population in our congregation. The presence of children is evidence of a congregation that is alive – a true family.

Children's Worship Bags are available in the Narthex to use during services. These bags contain a variety of activities to keep young minds and hands engaged. Children's Activity Bulletins are also available in the Narthex.

We have Sunday school for children beginning at the age of 3 years old through high school. This ministry is offered during the months of September – May.

Communion

Our congregation practices “Closed Communion”. This is an historic practice that is found in many Christian denominations. In essence, those who are confirmed members of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod are welcome to participate in Holy Communion. For those who are not, it is best to make an appointment with the pastor to discuss prior to participating in communion. Feel welcome to come forward during communion to receive a blessing by placing your hands over your heart.

Music

The organ is the chief instrument. However, a Clavinova, which is a digital piano with many enhancements is also used. Music consists of traditional hymns from the hymnal (Lutheran Service Book), songs, and spiritual songs.

Choir & Musicians

Our choir sings during scheduled Sunday services, September through May. Choir practices are Wednesday evenings. There are no auditions to join the choir. Anyone who enjoys singing praises to our Lord is invited. Instrument musicians are also encouraged to speak with Pastor and the Music Director to share their talents during services.

Parking

We have a large parking lot on-site with plenty of spaces. Several of our spaces closest to the building have been designated for handicap and visitor spots. Our main entrance has a covered awning and is on the east side of our building.

Accessibility Needs

Our main entrance has easy accessibility with no steps and includes an automatic door for assisted access. Hearing Loop is provided during services, for those requiring hearing assistance.

Dress

There is a variety of apparel. There are those in suits and dresses, others in more relaxed attire, including khakis and jeans.

Coffee Fellowship

Coffee Fellowship is offered in the Narthex following Sunday services. Regular, Decaf and Flavored coffees and a variety of teas are available to enjoy will visiting with our church family.
