What to Expect

Before answering any questions below, it would be best to simply come and visit us. As a matter of fact, it would be suggested that you would visit at least 2-3 times to observe the congregation in its worship. It is also good practice to make an appointment with the pastor to answer any questions or concerns.

What's a service like?

Services lean toward traditional worship that is characteristic of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. There is a variety of liturgies (formats) that are used. Most liturgies are drawn from the Lutheran Service Book (LSB), a hymnal of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Services are normally an hour and fifteen minutes in length. Holy Communion is offered in the vast majority of regular worship services.

What's the music like?

The organ is the chief instrument. However, a Clavinova, which is a digital piano with many enhancements is also used. Music consists of traditional hymns from the hymnal (Lutheran Service Book), songs, and spiritual songs.

How people dress?

There is a variety of apparel. There are those in suits and dresses, others in more relaxed attire, including khakis and jeans.

What about my children?

Children are an important population in our congregation. The presence of children is evidence of a congregation that is alive – a true family.

We have Sunday school for children beginning at the age of 3 years old through high school. This ministry is offered during the months of September – May.

Can I take communion?

Our congregation practices “Close(d) Communion”. This is an historic practice that is found in many Christian denominations. In essence, those who are members of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod are welcome to participate in Holy Communion. For those who are not, it is best to make an appointment with the pastor to discuss our practice.

How can I get connected?

Browse through our website. Call, email or even write to us. (Contact information can be found on this website.) Follow our Facebook page and watch our livestream services on YouTube.

If a formal connection is desired, an appointment with the pastor would be advised.

What if I need easy accessibility to the building?
