Mission Statement

Reaching Out, Serving Jesus, Celebrating His Love

Peace Lutheran Church - Value Statement

Adopted: September, 2011

We the members of Peace Lutheran Church of Neenah, Wisconsin hold the following as our most important values: We believe that the Holy Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God and is the foundation for our core Christian beliefs. We believe in the Triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and that salvation comes from faith alone in the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We worship the living God and our services emphasize prayer, confession and forgiveness of sin, praise, and thanksgiving. We are a member congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). As such, we believe that truth of Scripture is explained and professed in the Apostles, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds and the Lutheran confessional writings as are found in the Book of Concord (1580). We recognize Holy Baptism and Holy Communion are the only Sacraments instituted by God and we celebrate and receive God’s grace and the forgiveness of sins through them. Pastors that shepherd our congregation shall be ordained ministers as recognized by the LCMS, having been trained in Biblical truths and LCMS doctrines. We are guided by the Constitution and Bylaws of the LCMS and our congregation.

It is important to evangelize both individually, and as a congregation, wherever and whenever we can. God’s love for us is reflected in our love and caring for others, believers and non-believers alike. We believe that our purpose is to be involved in outreach and missions, both locally and globally. We value Christ-centered lifelong education for individuals and families; enhancing our knowledge, wisdom, and personal relationship with our God. Youth ministry and outreach is critical to ensure that the next generation is prepared to witness for the sake of growing the kingdom of God. We strive to be good stewards of the gifts of time, talent, and treasures that God has given us. We value the importance of the family, the sanctity of marriage (one man and one woman), and the sanctity of human life (prebom to grave). We witness by living a Christian lifestyle, setting an example for others to follow. Our congregation values one mindedness in Christ Jesus.
